Registration & Pricing

The team at Silk Road Racing has created the Tajik Mountain Traverse with both adventure and exploration in mind. The fees cover everything you need from airport arrival to departure and everything in between.

Race Fees

Cost: $2,900 USD
$300 Deposit paid upon registration
Balance due by July of 2025

What’s included:
We provide everything you need, so you can focus on the race, scenery and the FKT.

Airport transfer to race hotel
All meals from September 7-14 (8 days)
Private Hotel Room in Dushanbe (Sep 6th)
Arrival Brunch at hotel on September 7
Transfer from Dushanbe to Penjikent (4-hours)
Shared accommodation at the guesthouse in Penjikent
Transport to the start of the first stage
Race Entry to the Seven Lakes Half Marathon (Stage 1) and the Tajik Mountain Traverse (all 6 Stages)
Tented camp (including private 2-man tent per person or private 3-man tent for couples or friends)
Provision of all food during the race including breakfast, packed lunches, and dinners.
Transport of one bag of personal belongings up to 10kg between camps
Fann Mountain Conservation Area permit
Race staff salaries (plus food and accommodation)
Sponsorship of local athletes to participate in the race as a fantastic learning experience
Transfer from Iskandarkul back to Dushanbe (2.5-hour drive)
Private Hotel Room in Dushanbe (night of September 13-14)
Awards dinner and celebration in Dushanbe on September 14
Airport transfer from hotel
Race t-shirt and finishers medal

What’s NOT included:
You will be responsible for:

International round-trip flight to Tajikistan
Alcoholic drinks taken in restaurants
Travel insurance (medical, rescue, personal possessions).
Shopping and tourism (before or after the event)

How to Pay

$300 Deposit upon Application
When completing the online registration form, you will be enter your credit card to pay the deposit immediately.

Remaining Balance Due in July 2025
We will send you a link to pay these the fees in early August.

SOME INSIGHTS

Refunds & Cancellation

Refunds

Due to the use of funds for reservation deposits, course organizing and other logistics beforehand we cannot offer refunds for any reason after ~10 weeks (beginning of July) before the race event commences.

Transfer of Entry

Transfer of entry to a friend after payment is made is only allowed up to three weeks before race day and with Race Director’s written permission. The Race Director has the final say on all matters.

Medical Insurance

You must have comprehensive travel insurance that covers you fully for medical evacuation, hospitalization, medical care and repatriation should you become too ill to continue the event. We will need a photocopy (or PDF) of your insurance documents confirming this to allow you to compete.

It is also recommended to have adequate insurance to cover loss or damage of your belongings.

Event Cancellation

In the event of insufficient sign-ups, political unrest, or acts of God that would impede operations, we reserve the right to cancel the race. In such a case, we will refund all payments, minus any monies we are unable to recoup for payments made to our suppliers, staff and operators. If for any reason the event were to be stopped while in progress, we will refund what we can recoup from the expected outlays for that part of the trip not completed. This is highly unlikely but we need to mention it!
