Silk Road Racing, a Tajikistan-based adventure sports company, is thrilled to announce its inaugural multi-stage trail race, taking place amidst the breathtaking mountains of this Central Asian nation. Prepare to push your limits and experience the raw beauty of Tajikistan’s landscape as you traverse rugged terrain, charming villages, and historical landmarks on this unforgettable journey.

Our Team
Wayne Cassidy General Director, Silk Road Racing and Tajik Mountain Traverse
Wayne is an active Canadian endurance sport athlete from Toronto, Canada. He has a wealth of experience participating in Adventure Races, Ultramarathons and other running, cycling and multisport races locally and internationally over the last 25 years. He is an entrepreneur who has worked and lived in Tajikistan for the last 18 years, where he has built a successful service business. Wayne has established a number of new FKTs (Fastest Known Times) on challenging routes in Tajikistan. Wayne loves to enjoy the outdoors actively with his wife, four sons, friends and fellow adventurers.
Ahror is the founder and organizer of weekly group runs (and run club Dav.tj) that are held in multiple cities to inspire people to run. He is a coach to many amateur runners, helping them advance to intermediate levels. He is an active runner participating in more than 680 half-marathon distance runs, counting more than 1600 streak days while racking up more than 20,000 km in 2 years. Ahror ran the 100K Tengri Ultra trail run in Kazakhstan. He has organized charity runs (like the Tajik Mountain Race Series – 7 Lakes and Iskandarkul marathons), as well as a 24-hour relay race event dedicated to Earth Day held three years in a row in Tajikistan. He loves venturing in the mountains to find and explore new routes and inspiring other to get fit through running.
We want to see the sport of running grow in Tajikistan among local communities of healthy runners. Our co-worker Ahror started Dav.tj with this idea in mind and is recruiting more locals to the sport each year.

So few in media and sport have heard of the vast beauty and adventure that awaits in Tajikistan. We want to encourage the global tourism sector to take note of the possibilities Tajikistan has to offer.
